February/March News

Hello everyone. Hope 2012 is treating you well.
I am busy with my tour and planning a wedding. Didn't you hear? I am getting married to my first wife in April. Woo hoo.
Anyway, just thought I'd keep you up to date with the latest developments.

WHAT IS LOVE, ANYWAY?
I am about halfway through the tour and it's going really well so far with bigger audiences than ever and a show that seems to be going down well with everyone (aside from those too drunk to understand language).

PODCASTS
The Me1 vs Me2 Snooker podcast has already reached its 10th frame and shows no sign of stopping. EVER. It's not for everyone. It's just for you. So listen to it. It's at the British Comedy Guide - http://www.comedy.co.uk/podcasts/richard_herring_snooker/ or iTunes - http://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/me1-vs-me2-snooker-richard/id485710409
I am also recording my daily blog Warming Up which you can listen to on Itunes- http://itunes.apple.com/gb/podcast/rich-herring-warming-up/id446472645 or Soundcloud - http://feeds.soundcloud.com/users/5510726-herring1967/tracks
There will soon be news about a London run based on the Edinburgh Fringe podcast and I will be doing more of RHEFP at the Fringe in 2012.

RADIO
Sadly Radio 4 have decided not to recommission Richard Herring's Objective. But you can get series one on iTunes and other audio outlets for something like a fiver, which seems reasonable. I don't think I will see any of that money, but it's a series I am proud of so would love you to hear it if you haven't already.

DVDS
The Fist of Fun series 1 DVD has been selling well, but it cost us lots to buy so it would really help us if you bought it too. It's at http://www.gofasterstripe.com along with all my other DVDS. We're recording the commentaries and extras for series 2 next week, so that will be out later in the year.

EDINBURGH
It seems highly likely that I will be resurrecting Talking Cock for its second coming at the Fringe this year (and then, no doubt, on a UK tour) and I also hope to return to the Stand with RHEFP. More details when I have them.

TV
No news on the future of Gorgeous, my cave guide based comedy drama yet. Don't hold your breath.

JOURNALISM
I am currently writing a weekly column for the Metro. They come out every Tuesday. You can read the first one here - http://www.metro.co.uk/lifestyle/889545-richard-herring-im-getting-married-but-my-fiancees-way-too-good-for-me
and the second one is here - http://www.metro.co.uk/lifestyle/890184-richard-herring-why-st-skeletors-day-is-the-perfect-valentines-day-antidote

I think that's all for now. Please come and see me on tour or buy my stuff. It turns out weddings are really expensive. Who knew?
I love you all
Richard Herring
