Remember remember the first of November. I can’t remember why we have to remember it though.
I have now completed Dry Jantober. Can I do two more months for the year? My dreams about drinking beer are getting more frequent. And I fear going back to the old ways a little bit. Also I’ve put a bit of weight back on already so I don’t think I should reintroduce alcohol into the mix. But does that mean a life-time with no sweet boozy release? Is tiredness the only giddiness that I will experience from now on?
My aim was to get two scripts finished by close of play today, but I didn’t quite make it, as I have about a third of the second script to finish. But both were close enough to send off to my producer for evaluation/to prove that I have at least done something. She will read them over the weekend. I am pretty pleased with them, but can’t get too cocky as even if both these were finished and perfect I still have four to go, which is as many shows as were in both of the last two series. Place your bets on how many I will have done by December 4th?
At least I am enjoying writing again, though completely failing to realise that this is the exact process of pain, mild pleasure and more pain that I always go through.
Both knackered we watched Bojack Horseman in front of our real fire. There’s a show that can make you feel inadequate about your writing prowess. So we then watched this week’s Apprentice to make ourselves feel better about ourselves.
That worked.

My House of Games Champion of Champions contest will be out on the week commencing 2nd March 2020. Set your videos. I still wake up in a cold sweat over the number of stupid mistakes I made… but no spoilers. Whatever happens I am the Champion of Champions of your hearts, right?
