5922/18942

Forgot to mention this yesterday  so this is weirdly less impressive - 51 days without booze or chocolate. Been pimpsy so far. I am never going back. Cut to….

And I have cleared a stone.

I suddenly find myself with not too much to do in the week. It’s very nice. I’ve been making more story books with my daughter (Today’s was "Phoebe and the Tiger and the PJ Masks” which also featured Noddy as a baddie. We’re going to have to do some negotiations to sort out the film rights, but I think it could be a winner) and trying to tidy up my office. The British Heart Foundation are sending a truck over tomorrow to pick up my old CDs and some bits of furniture (including the spare snooker board that I used at the Reading Hexagon) so I was trying to get all that gathered together too. It was totally exhausting, but I am approaching having an orderly office space. It’s something I’ve been trying to get ever since I started working as a comedian and now I am nearly there, I should be able to actually finally do some work….
In hindsight I should probably have got rid of all the things I needed before I moved them to this new house, thus avoiding having to pay people to move them here in the first place. But you live and fail to learn. At least charity will benefit now.
If you are trying to clear out your house of unused items then you can easily donate them to the BHF too - check out their website.

I am looking forward to taking it a little bit easier (though another series of Relativity has been commissioned so I will need to start writing that at some point - two days before recording probably) and getting the jobs done that I’ve been putting off. Every day for over  year I have looked at the drain outside our kitchen and thought that I should clear out all the leaves and gunk in there, but I still haven’t done it. And I didn’t do it today either. And I doubt I will do it tomorrow. But I am moving in the direction of doing it and will let you know when it is done.

In other news I had to replace my phone because it wasn’t working as a phone (it took me a long time to realise as I don’t use it much and thought it was poor reception in my house that meant no one could hear me). I stuck with the same manufacturers, even though they have been pretty unimpressive of late (my laptop is in for repair because they made them with faulty keyboards. The new phone is pretty good so far though, apart from occasionally asking me to sign in as Paul Putner (I presume at some point he gifted me something on iTunes or maybe signed into my computer) and is able to recognise my face. Which means that as long as Charley Boorman doesn’t get hold of my phone, no one but me can get into it. That’s pretty freaky tech. I hope my face doesn’t change.

The Bristol Slapstick interview with Tim Vine is now up on video

The audio should be up soon.

And exciting news, Richard E Grant will be my guest on RHLSTP on March 18th. This one is selling fast so book NOW

Incidentally now is excellent time to become a monthly badger. We are soon launching a new website and minimum monthly donation will go up to £3 BUT anyone who is already a badger will be able to access everything and stay at whatever they were paying before.
