Warming Up

We put the exclusive stand-up from Monday's AIOTM up on the British Comedy Guide and iTunes. This is the only time I am going to do this and it's just a little advert to try and persuade people that it's worth coming down to the show some time. That's all. I am too nice to you lot. And what do I get in return?
Yeah, quite a lot. You're all right.
But I realised when Andrew Collings was round to record Podcast 111 that not even including that little extra I would be involved in five podcasts being released in the next six days. Podcast 111 today, 6Music podcast tomorrow, 7 Day Sunday podcast on Sunday, AIOTM 2:2 on Monday and then Collings and Herring 112 on Wednesday.
Hopefully I am not spreading myself too thin. There may, by necessity, be some slight crossover between these different enterprises, but I hope not. Though I have to say that I have next to no ideas for AIOTM at the moment. Last week was full of riches and possible subjects. But so far, not a lot. We'll get through this somehow though hey?
My main delight in this week's show was my recent discovery that Barry Chuckle from the Chuckle Brothers is now on Twitter. At least I hoped it was him. Search for Barry Chuckle and you'll see how many people have come up with the idea of pretending to be him. And basically spend most of their time saying "to you" to a pretend Paul Chuckle who will respond "to me". I think this Barry is real, mainly because of his rather charming attempts to respond to everyone personally, his equally charming decision to sign each of his tweets BC and mainly because he very rarely writes "to me" or "to you". I hope everyone treats Barry as sweetly as he seems to be treating Twitter and I hope it is him. Good old Barry Chuckle.
