I went out for an evening stone clear and recorded it for your pleasure. I am worried that Boris Johnson might have his own pro-brexit ditch that he is putting more stones in. Or maybe the curse of removing stones from the field is that the UK will be laid waste. I hope you kickstarterers think it’s worth it.
I got a nice photo of a bee on a thistle and though I don’t discuss this in the podcast it set me wondering about what happens when a bee meets a thistle and which of them gets stung. I mean I saw it happening and it seemed to be neither, but as with all the stone clearing podcast there is a deeper meaning beneath it all. And when you work it out you shall achieve immortality.
My wife was waiting in the living room when I got home from the walk and heard me arguing with all the people who had emailed in complaining about the podcast and said she had said I sounded really angry. I tried to explain to her that this was just the character of Richard Herring, arguing with people who he has created out of the ether and being annoyed with them for questioning him. The podcast Richard Herring is spiralling into madness as the weeks go by. She seemed to have difficulty in working out what the difference between he and I was, but then she’s never really understood my greatest podcast works. I am not mad. The character of Richard Herring may be.
I am a but worried about the Annabelle/Lara Croft Siren who attempted to lure me out into the Stocean and my doom though. My wife doesn’t know about her. I think she’d be glad to find out that I ran away from the succubus though. And I love being succubussed,
It was a beautiful evening for a stone clear though and the wheat is brown and dry now and I am looking forward to the harvest and the plough throwing up more bounty for me to discover.
If you haven’t yet listened to Stone Clearing (and are not married to me) then please start at the beginning and enjoy this spiral of rock and madness. It will make you think, it will make you question your own sanity and it might well help you sleep. But it is a distillation of the human condition and the challenges we face to make sense of our lives and will one day be recognised as the greatest work of art ever created by a human man.
