On the plus side Suella Braverman is sexy again.

A tiny visitor to our cabin this morning, as an uncatchable frog hopped round the room and then hid under the sofa when we got too close to capturing it in a glass. We will just live alongside the intruder for now and hope it doesn’t hope on to our face or down our throat as we sleep.
But that’s the wonder of living in a forest - nature, slimy in foot and face is all around us. We’re settling into things a bit more now. We had an early morning 10 pin bowling session where I hubristically said I’d attempt too score more than both kids combined. But may form was way off and they actually both beat me this time, albeit with the bumpers up on their turn.
Into the pool after that and we had fun on the wild water slide that takes you outside  and then back into the pool. I had gone on one of the more innocuous looking slides with Ernie yesterday and almost crashed into him as I shot down like a bullet. The whole thing was so scary that my heart was beating out of my chest for the next half an hour and I think it was because of the speed I’d picked up, not because I’d come close to damaging my child. But though this longer series of slides had its moments, it was much gentler and Phoebe wanted to go round as many times as possible and it was a bit of an adventure going through it together.
In the afternoon the kids made broomsticks (though I did nearly all of Ernie’s) and though the woman taking the class said she was a witch Ernie challenged her on this saying she wasn’t. I think she almost convinced him. Maybe she was one. She knew a lot about making broomsticks.
The kids went in the small wooden maze after that and Ernie shouted that he’d found a phone. That’s a pretty good prize for a free maze. It turned out that it was one that someone had dropped - the screen was badly cracked, but I suspect that had happened some time ago. Phoebe was keen to keep the phone, if she could guess the password, but I convinced them that we should hand it in. It was all cracked anyway. As a modern day Fagin I have to think of the resale value.
We’re keeping active, having fun, though mainly eating in the slightly dodgy restaurants on site. The new policy of putting calorific values on the menus is a real eye opener. Some of the dishes in the Mexican restaurant exceeded my calories for the day - not that I’ve really been keeping on top of that. I am going to turn over a new leaf after the holiday. And then eat the leaf for my lunch. Even though I chose a low calorie dinner (comparatively at least) I think it was way more calories than the menu said. It wasn’t very nice either and didn’t feel wholesome and I found it difficult to sleep with my bulging stomach.
Once again the yoyo reaches a zenith and descends again, only to inevitably rise.
Assuming the adrenaline from going down water slides doesn’t polish me off first.
