I haven't been eating much chocolate lately and ate a pack of mini eggs for breakfast and I was off my fucking tits. I don't know why anyone takes cracks or heroins when there is Cadbury's chocolate in the world. By the end of the day I was keen to never eat chocolate again and to get properly back on to my healthy diet (which has certainly slipped this year). I haven't been able to exercise as much as I'd like after my dizziness episodes but hoping that has passed now.
Phoebe had tried to film the Easter Bunny overnight, but the Easter Bunny was too clever for her and knocked over her iPad. In any case the ipad ran out of battery and very little of the film survived anyway. You can't trick the Easter Bunny. The Easter Bunny didn't seem to mind about this subterfuge though and left a shit-tonne of chocolate eggs, pooped, as is my understanding from her bottom. There was some discussion about whether Father Christmas and the Easter Bunny might be the same person.
We had Easter lunch at the in-laws where I played a lot of football with Phoebe and Ernie. Phoebe is keen to get good at keepie-uppies, but I told her that would take a lot of practice. She can currently do about the same number as me, 3, though we did manage to do 6 touches between us on one occasion. Ernie is a brave little keeper and gets his body behind the shots, but then cries if anyone scores saying "You have to go easy on me." I had to reassure both kids that they were doing well at the sport that I never excelled at myself (despite playing football with a tennis ball pretty much every school break time for at least four years.
But I won't tell them that. Just that if they practice and want to do something enough, they will succeed.
It was good to do some exercise to counteract the mountain of chocolate, though I am getting a bit out of shape and lightly pulled some muscles as I stretched to keep a keepie uppie up.
