Still not able to escape the whirlpool of exhaustion. Sometimes I am buffeted around at the edges and have a little more energy, but then it sucks me off into its deepest hole and I am spent. I had a little nap this afternoon. It helped a bit.
I’d had a relatively good morning of work, but an hour of running round the garden with the kids after lunch and I was done in.
I looked after them both after dinner too, whilst Catie had a bath. I took my eye off the ball a bit as I got hooked in to he show they were watching on TV and didn’t notice my son hiding under a table, getting out all the felt tips and drawing over the wall, his own legs and his face. That’s another pretty huge parental fail. It was funny enough, but I knew my wife would not find it amusing. It was entirely my fault too. Why do these kids insist on pointing up my incompetence as a parent?
It mainly came off in the bath.
We might be getting to the point where the graffiti and damage to soft furnishing is no longer a charming reminder of childhood discretions and just an inconvenient destruction of property.

In a lot of ways this doesn’t feel like six weeks (or however long it is now). If you’d told me we’d get through that long without any help from anyone or any respite from each other I would have been sceptical. But mainly it’s still OK, even if my brain is turning to mush and my body has lost all its strength. I am not convinced that things will be seriously relaxed any time soon, but to be honest even if they allow us one other person to come into the house and look after the kids while I sleep for a day then I will take it. Whoever it is they let into the house. I just want to sleep.

Cracking RHLSTP with Kiri Pritchard-Mclean tonight. She’s a very exciting and funny comedian and a force for good. Also very impressively focused and hard-working  even if she was being forced to take a couple of says off a month before this all began.
You can still watch it our chat on Twitch or wait 7 weeks for it to come out as a podcast.
If you're with Amazon Prime you can give me £5 a month FOR FREE. And I will use the money to bring you more free podcasts. Here's how.

It’s only been a 5 month wait (would have been more if I hadn’t spunked out two a week for 3 months, but finally it’s here @daftlimmy’s 3rd RHLSTP
We’re both on Twitch- Me

Incredible that the tour shows have lasted us this long. Next week we’re back into the first of the two 2020 records that we managed before cockdown. It's with Michael Palin and the backstage video is worth the price of monthly badges on its own.
There's also a very nice edit of the Sliding Doors commentary there courtesy of Andy McH. Hoping to do Total Recall on Sunday if I am not too exhausted.
