Sunday 7th September 2008

Again I slept in way past noon. This is like being a student again! Hopefully the tiredness will lift. I have a lot of things to be getting on with - all of them in the very early stages which makes it harder.
Still today was going to be about leisure, at least until my late night gig and I went out for a lovely Sunday lunch. It was really top quality, there were plenty of other customers and nothing amusing happened at all. It wouldn't be much fun if all eating out experiences were like last night.
I have been been casually playing CNPS again since May. I said I'd never go back, but I have not been actively seeking out number plates or running round the streets looking for numbers, just if I see the number I am looking for in my day to day life I will note it and move on to the next one. To show you how lackadaisical I have been I was up to 31 at the start of the day and I saw that 31 on the way to Brighton on 11th July. So nearly two months have passed by with no 32. But I was reminded of the madness and strangeness of this game today as I walked back home after lunch and thought to myself "It's about time I saw a 32" and in the next two minutes a 32 drove by. Like somehow I had sensed the car coming through some supernatural means, or the CNPS gods had rewarded me for my patience.
And then to cement the point, on my drive down to South London tonight another 32 drove by and when I left the gig there was another 32 parked outside the pub.
The CNPS gods are cruel and have a strange sense of humour. I mustn't get sucked back into this craziness. But alas it seems, I have been!
