Hooray, it was almost full today. Certainly well over 150 which makes being in the bigger venue worthwhile. It was a cracking show and I am well on top of it now and having fun. Fingers crossed that numbers don't dwindle. I think it's going to be all fun from here on in. Numbers 1, 21 and 29 were all in the audience with friends (hopefully all the girls will come and thus guarantee me at least 100 ticket sales - if only I'd gone out with 2500 women), but managed to share me nicely in the bar afterwards and didn't outwardly show their jealousy towards each other. All of them did an excellent impression of not even being in love with me a bit. I thank them for that.
Then it was off to the Pleasance for my first "stand-up" gig, which was being recorded for a Radio 4 show. For this one I correctly assumed that I could get away with doing a bit of the show, but I think tomorrow's gig at the Pod will be different. I have elected to do the rude and crowd pleasing bits from Talking Cock for that, so if you fancy seeing 25 minutes of my old show with all the sensitivity removed then come down to the Pod on Sunday night.
Then I had my first real late night (early morning) of the Festival. I didn't go to bed til 6.30am. Very soon I will be nocturnal.
Hooray again for Edinburgh. How could I have ever doubted you.
