I have some amazing news that may revolutionise the diet industry.
For the first two months of this year I ate healthy food, drank much less alcohol than usual and did thirty minutes exercise for five or six days a week and I consequently lost over half a stone.
For the last ten days I have eaten when I feel like it, drank copiously to numb the pain of living and done no exercise at all and have put nearly all that weight back on.
Now I know that my experience does not prove anything scientifically (and some other factor may be the cause of my weight gain), but what this suggests to me is that taking more calories into your body than you burn off, may result in obesity.
I dont want to put all these faddy protein diets and unpleasant shake drinks out of business, but losing weight might all be to do with getting off your fat arse once in a while and stopping stuffing your face with chips.
I am going to attempt to put this information to the test by starting to exercise again and to lay off the Pickled Onion Monster Munch and Werthers Originals on tour. I will let you know what I find out.
