What I want to know is when is there going to be a round of applause for the bloggers? We’re working our arses off every single day trying to keep providing content for you when absolutely nothing has happened and we don’t even get a thank you. Do you really think that the NHS are doing something more important than that?
Plus blogging stopped being a thing in 2006, so for the diehard bloggers (especially them in fact, given the limitations of writing daily about one film franchise) to still be out here 14 years later, still churning out reams of unreadable shit is nothing short of heroic. What about that Bumming for Gold thing from yesterday? Surely you thought the bottom (no pun intended) of the barrel had been scraped clean. And then that golden nugget of shit floats to the surface and you can’t even get out on your doorstep and give me a ten minute round of applause? You make me sick.

We got Wolfie back today after her being with the in-laws for maybe a month. Ernie had been missing her and he was delighted to see her and kept saying “Wolfie loves me”. And to be fair, she is the only one in the family who does, so it’s nice he’s got someone. Wolfie was a bit freaked out by the sudden change in her circumstances. I was reminded of her unease when she came to live with us the first time and the terrible 3am poo on the carpet consequences of her nervousness. No spoilers for tomorrow’s entry, but I should maybe have been a bit more cautious given the similarities (she did a big runny shit on the kitchen floor overnight - oh turns out there was a spoiler).  She settled a bit and Ernie and me took her for an early walk at 3.30pm. Though Ernie cried for his mum for the first 20 minutes, so it wasn’t the idyll of dad, son and dog that I’d hoped for.

I had a weakish writing day as I attempted to collate and give a fair hearing to the views of meninists. It’s hard to conclude anything other than all the grievances men have come from the fact that the patriarchal system shits on many men in the same way that it shits on most women and that the only way out is to support the feminists crusade for equality. And yet men are so bound up in the system that disdains them that they can’t get on board with a campaign for equality unless it has their name in the title. As if feminism is an attempt to replace the patriarchy with a matriarchy. Even though most men would probably be way better off if that was what feminism was.
I will keep attempting to navigate these choppy waters and hopefully I can still push onwards and hit my end of the month deadline. I suspect that my editor’s casual attitude to me hitting the deadline is probably down to the fact that due to the virus we’re unlikely to hit the publication date even if I do.
