Somehow my Labour/woman landslide did not materialise as I slept.
The country woke up to an uncertain future, though the better news is that DickIbegyourpardonNick Griffin and his cronies seem to have failed to get anywhere in the General Election and have lost loads of council seats. Well done Barking. Let's create a new phrase - Barking sane. Some small part of democracy is working.
If the rest of you didn't do quite as well as keeping Gove and his cronies from gaining power. What will happen? We will have to wait and see. But it's a rare General Election where every party has a disappointing result like they did today. Politics has rarely been so exciting.
But I had work of my own to do and spent much of the day being interviewed about my new book.
You can hear one of the interviews I did here, though I spoke with three other radio stations and also did two interviews with print journalists. Hopefully all this will work out. If Amazon is anything to go by then sales are ticking along nicely. I have been hovering around the 100 mark in the book chart for most of the week and this afternoon found myself in the top 80 and then with a little push on Twitter reached a high of 58 this evening, which I was very pleased about.
You know where you go if you want to push things higher and incredibly you can already pick up second hand copies if you don't fancy paying full (discounted) price. And the feedback I am getting from people who've already read the thing seems very positive too. Do spread the word if you enjoy it.
