CNPS numbers spotted 0 (799).

The 800 debacle continues. I went for a run this morning in the hope of spotting one, but to no avail. I even stood on Shepherd's Bush Green for over half an hour in the hope that one would pass me. There was method to my madness as I had noticed that the 72 buses that go down from the Bush to Hammersmith seem to have consecutive number plates and had seen 801, 802, 803 and even 811, so I was guessing there might be one with an 800. If there was I didn't see it, though I saw several numbers in the early 800s which made my wait all the more frustrating.
It has become very important to me to complete this challenge by the time of the first Edinburgh show and I can't afford to have to wait days (or even weeks) for any one number. So the longer I waited, the more sick I was feeling, the more it seemed that my dream was crumbling into dust. Why are the gods punishing me so? I have done nothing but give them glory and they have got me so far, so quickly and now seem to want to stop me in my tracks.
Yet the more time I invested standing at the side of the road, the more ridicuous it seemed to leave before I had seen the number I required. Would I be prepared to stand there all day? Is that what the gods wanted of me? Is that what would be required to win their approval?
But I had to do some writing as I have a show on Monday and want to try some new stuff out and I had to give up. The last 72 that passed me was 803.
If you know of an 800 anywhere in the (preferably) West London area that you are fairly certain will not be going anywhere then please do email me to let me know. Whilst a couple of days of impressive spotting will put me back on track, things are looking very touch and go, especially considering how many other tasks I have yet to do.

Number 48 turned up for the date wearing a badge with her number on it. She'd read that I'd got a previous date's number wrong and wanted to make sure I didn't make any such embarrassing mistake with her. I now wish that I had provided T shirts or maybe Miss World style little bracelets with each number on and forced each date to wear them throughout.
It's nearly over now and soon I can rest.
