Discomfort is not too bad, except when I cough or laugh. I sneezed for the first time this afternoon and that was like I’d been shot. But only with an air rifle.
Otherwise the news from my bed is limited. The most excitement we have is trying to keep my 3 year old from punching or head butting me in the abdomen. We have made it clear that he has to be careful and only hug me from one side. But if you tell him not to do anything then he desperately wants to do it. “Maybe I could just hug you from this side?”
My daughter lost her second front tooth today and was super-excited about it. I joined in the with the celebration but wanted to shout, “Yeah, but it’s hardly a bollock is it? Get a sense of perspective.” But I didn’t.
It’s good though that she sees having a hug gap in her teeth as something to be proud of. And she’s right, it’s great, it’s fun and you get a visit from a fairy. I’ve got loads of gifts for my bollock too mind, so I am not complaining. And all I have to do is to wait for my adult bollock to grow through and I’ll be looking normal again.
Apart from the weight put on from eating all the biscuits I’ve been sent.

I’ve been watching lots of telly. Quite enjoying Lower Decks (even if I am not a big enough Star Trek nerd to get the more niche jokes). We tried out Barb and Star Go To Vista Del Mar. Anything with Kristen Wiig is always going to be worth a look, but it was a bit too quirky for me and I wasn’t entirely on board. And we started watching Wandavision tonight, which is intriguing (after two episodes) and (presumably) bold in that it’s taking its time to get to the point and is for now, mainly just a weird 50s sitcom. Still good though. I wouldn’t mind if it was just that. But we’re hooked in to it.
I’ve also just watched some actual terrestrial TV, which is a weird throwback to the old days, even if there is more choice than there used to be.
Perhaps I should be using this time for something more worthwhile - if things go south then I might be frittering away my time on rubbish - but I’ve already frittered away so much of my life on worthless rubbish that it feels too late to change now. And once your brain turns into mulch it doesn’t really matter what it ingested. It’s all worm food.
Unless there’s an exam to get into Heaven.
But what if it’s a low brow quiz. Then I should be OK.
