Phoebe edges every closer to taking over Twitch of Fun. She realised that if she wears a mask then she can now appear on screen and the mask is terrifying enough, but add to it her singing "What do you want from me?" and "Why are you scared of me?" over and again and I suspect some nerds pooped their pants tonight.
The show was interrupted by tech problems and by Phoebe returning because her octopus Turquoise, without whom she can't sleep, was missing from her bedroom. I did try and find him during the show, but it was only after that we realised he was likely in the spin dryer as the sheets had been changed today.
I was feeling a bit too tired and uninspired. It's been a tough week since we got trapped in the mud. We never quite caught up on sleep and Phoebe was ill and today Ernie was complaining of feeling poorly. He had rallied by school time, but when we went to see him in his nativity play it was clear that he wasn't himself. Last year he'd larked around as Morris the mule and known all his words despite having missed loads of rehearsal. This year he didn't seem to know any of the songs and only mildly larked around and was yawning. I thought it might be because he wasn't the star this time, but then realised he was looking a bit pallid. We pulled him from the second show and Catie took him to the emergency room, where a doctor wasn't sure what was wrong with him and a wee sample proved inconclusive, so he was given some antibiotics and sent home.
I had to collect more wee later so our GP could do another test (Ernie's wee, not mine) and so got my hand covered in wee cos he started too early and then didn't stop when the tube was full. But I've had to deal with this guy's wee before and it's no big deal. He's in mainly good spirits and we're all feeling a bit lousy due to lack of sleep or fighting off some bug.
