Richard Herring - May News

Hello all
Sorry ladies, gay men and straight men and lesbians who still wanted to marry me - I am now married. The wedding day was really joyful and wonderful and so far being hitched has been plain sailing. In fact, it's pimpsy.

Here's what's going on in May and beyond.

The tour has been my most successful yet, so thanks very much if you came along.
There are only three more chances to see What is Love, Anyway live
6th May Machynlleth Comedy Festival - The Tabernacle -
15th and 16th May The Bloomsbury Theatre LONDON -

If you can't make it, don't worry, we filmed the show last month and it will be released by Go Faster Stripe in the next few months.

I have got some amazing guests joining me for this London based version of my chat show podcast. It's only £12.50 if you want to see these shows live - and there will be chances to interact, prizes and extra content not broadcast online -
The dates and guests are as follows
7th May Tim Minchin (SOLD OUT)
14th May TBC
21st May Charlie Higson
28th May Charlie Brooker

I am very excited about these, think they could be something very special. So do tune in.

I am hosting my final ever Lyric Hammersmith Comedy Night on 29th April. It's a brilliant line up, Phill Jupitus, Jenny Eclair, Lucy Porter and Chris McCausland and if you quote "April" by phone on online you can get two tickets for £20, which is frankly ridiculous! This is the website -
Be nice to go out with a bang. These shows have always been great, but they haven't been selling too well, which is a shame.

On 20th May I am part of another impressive line up at the Hammersmith Apollo, all the proceeds going to SCOPE. Tim Minchin has had to drop out due to getting a part in a US TV show, but Al Murray, Ben Elton, Francesca Martinez, Milton Jones and many more will be taking part. Sally Phillips will also be reprising the "Girl who smelled of spam". It's selling fast, so get tickets here -

I will be doing a set at the Dulwich Festival on 19th May - details here -

For my forthcoming Edinburgh show and answer to the Va-gina Monologues I am setting up another anonymous pen-is based questionnaire - there are questions for men and for women and the more people who take part the better - so let me know your answers and spread the word
The men's questionnaire is here -
The women's questionnaire is here -

Thanks to the very generous people who have already donated money in return for getting their name in the charity programme. If you donate at least £15 (the more you give, the bigger your name) before June 1st, you can join them, then email me your address and you'll be sent a limited edition signed programme as soon as they are ready (and I have time to make them).
If you know a business that would like to advertise in the programme then please tell them to get in touch with me for very reasonable rates. The money goes to SCOPE.

It's my Silver Jubilee year at the Edinburgh Fringe and I will be performing in two shows. I will be doing more Edinburgh Fringe Podcasts at Stand One in the afternoon with big name Fringe guests and future stars. Dates and prices are
Preview Aug 2 16:10 (1hr) £9.00(£8.00) Aug 3-12,14-27 14:15 (1hr) £10.00(£9.00)
Buy tickets here -

My stand up show will be "Talking C*ck: The Second Coming" at the Udderbelly in Bristo Square on 1st-26th August at 8.15pm. Tickets on sale soon. View the poster here -

You will get a chance to see increasingly less rough versions of the Edinburgh show over the next couple of months. Keep an eye on the gig guide on my website for details.

I am currently writing a weekly column for the Metro. You can read them here -

Apologies for the information overload - but it's made me realise how much I've got to do, so I'd better hop it. Have a lovely weekend and month of May.
