Richard Herring - April news

Hello everyone
Is that sunshine? Maybe it's spring. A time when a young man's fancy turns to the Edinburgh Fringe.
I had a good April. RHLSTP and Fist of Fun series 2 both won Chortle awards, so thanks for voting for them!
Here's what's coming up imminently....

TALKING COCK TOUR
I have been having a lot of fun on the road with my new tour manager Giles ("The Cannibal"). All the gigs have gone really well and I've been enjoying the variety in venue and audience size! There's still over thirty gigs to go. You can see them all at http://www.richardherring.com/talkingcock2/tour.php, but here are the ones coming up in April.
If you can't get along to see it I am recording the DVD at the Bloomsbury on 13th April - still a handful of tickets left if you want to be a part of the recording! http://www.thebloomsbury.com/event/run/1711

RICHARD HERRING LEICESTER SQUARE THEATRE PODCAST
The Chortle award winning podcast is back in May.
I am doing a special one off Welsh version at the Maccynlleth Festival on May 4th (will also be doing a Talking Cock that night too). My guests will be all three members of Pappys so it should be chaos - http://machcomedyfest.co.uk/node/281
I will then be back at the Leicester Square Theatre for the six Mondays from May 27th. Not guests confirmed as yet, but some very exciting possibilities. If you want to be at the front - book now - http://leicestersquaretheatre.ticketsolve.com/shows/873492663/events
Keep your eye on my website and Twitter feed for news on bookings. If I get some of the people I am aiming for then the shows will sell out straight away when they're announced.
As always the podcasts will be released as free downloads BUT We are also tentatively planning to film these and charge a small amount for video download. If this covers its cost we will keep doing it, so again your support is appreciated.

EDINBURGH FRINGE 2013
I will be doing 2 shows at the Fringe again this year. My new stand up show, "We're All Going To Die!" will be on daily at the Pleasance Beyond at 8pm. You can see the poster image here - http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151419681523964&set=a.10150157110698964.289366.8501453963&type=1&theater
Tickets are not yet on sale. I will be doing some mainly London bound previews throughout June and July, but there are a few dotted around the country too. I will let you know when all confirmed.

I will also be doing a third run of the Edinburgh Fringe Podcasts at Stand One at 13.55 every day (not 12th). I have no confirmed guests as yet, but I am sure to get the biggest Fringe stars and I know that both Sarah Millican and Susan Calman are keen to return for starters! Buy your tickets now - http://www.thestand.co.uk/Fringe/Performance/Stand1/1018/Richard-Herrings-Edinburgh-Fringe-Podcast - as always these will all be released as free podcasts. But it's even better live and there are prizes!
It's worth checking out the full Stand line-up. It's pretty impressive stuff - http://www.thestand.co.uk/Fringe/WhatsOn

I am also hoping to do a live Me1 vs Me2 snooker frame or two this year, but as yet have not secured a venue for that

TALKING COCK/ME 1 VS ME2 SNOOKER/OTHER
I am continuing to put out Talking Cock podcasts on an almost weekly basis and Me1 vs Me2 snooker podcasts when the mood takes me. The Talking Cock podcasts are pretty much all material that you won't get in the show, so you can listen to them even if you haven't caught the tour yet. You can get it on the British Comedy Guide or iTunes (the link to iTunes is on this page) - http://www.comedy.co.uk/podcasts/richard_herring_talking_cock/

Me1 vs Me2 snooker has fallen from a first episode download of 30,000 to a current listenership of about 5000. But those 5000 are hardy and tenacious and aren't going anywhere and are enjoying (or at least getting through) what I consider to the greatest work of my career - Again links to iTunes are on the British comedy guide - http://www.comedy.co.uk/podcasts/richard_herring_snooker/

You can listen to me reading my daily Warming Up entries here - http://soundcloud.com/herring1967/ or read them yourself at - http://www.richardherring.com/warmingup/

RA RA RASPUTIN
I have just completed draft 3 of my pilot sitcom script. Hopefully it will now be put forward for consideration by the powers that be. I am very pleased with it, but that means nothing. I will let you know what happens to this 20 year mission to get this idea to a wider audience!

GO FASTER STRIPE
The Fist of Fun series 2 DVD award triumph at the Chortle awards is an amazing and deserved result for the tiny independent Go Faster Stripe company. You can buy that DVD here - http://www.gofasterstripe.com/cgi-bin/website.cgi?page=videofull&id=14689
Plus do browse the site for all my other produce and the DVDs of many of the country's most exciting underground comedians. Chris Evans (not that one) will plough your money back into making even more DVDs of ever more obscure acts so please support this idiotic rubbish businessman - http://www.gofasterstripe.com/

That's it for April, I think. I've been married for nearly a year. And they said it would never last.
Spread the word about my stuff, but only very slowly to selective people. I don't want any old riff-raff finding out about all this stuff.

Love from
Richard Herring
