Richard Herring - June news

Hi everyone
The summer is approaching and here's what's coming up. Quite a lot to get through. Bear with me

The Sony Award winning (bronze is 3 times better than gold, right?) podcast returns for a new series of six episodes. I am still trying to finalise the full line-up, but there are some very exciting possibilities, along with a couple of brilliant confirmed. And you now have the chance to download the show on video for a small fee.
We did the first one last night with Chris Addison and it was the usual mixture of hilarity, awkwardness, laughter and bitterness.
The audio version will be up for free on Tuesday or Wednesday at the British Comedy Guide - or iTunes -
But it would be terrific if you want to help secure the future for this and other exciting projects if you were to download the show on video. Each episode is £3.50 (the price of a cup of coffee in a service station for up to 90 minutes of entertainment!) or you can download this whole run of six podcasts for just £15. You will also get a bonus shaky recording of the Pappys podcast in Machynlleth. Not included in the series pass is the full video of the podcast I made with Stewart Lee last year (also available on the Fist of Fun series 2 boxset) which you can buy for £3.50.
Go to to purchase. We're really looking to cover the cost of filming and look into the practicalities of doing more filmed projects. Any profit we make will be ploughed back into making ever more ambitious comedy.
There's a video of me explaining the idea here -
Confirmed guests are 3rd June Stephen Fry (SOLD OUT) and 10th June Mary Beard + another TBC
Tickets to all shows (and autumn dates) available here -

My new stand up show will be premiering at the Pleasance Beyond at 8pm from 31st July - 25th August. You can buy tickets here - and if you want to see the show at the weekend or on one of the cheap early performances then I suggest you book early.
This year instead of paying for lamp post ads which cost a fortune and just annoy people (in my opinion) I am spending that money on producing a free DVD called "10" (this is my tenth solo show) which is a best of compilation of all my favourite routines from the previous 9 shows, me discussing each show and a reading of one of the blogs that inspired "We're All Going To Die!" This will be given free to everyone who comes to see the show at the Fringe. It's over two hours of comedy for free, on top of the hour you will be seeing live.
I will be previewing the show in June and July
The June gigs are
9th June Chippenham
14th Crack Comedy Kingston
18th Angel, Islington
19th Shepherd's Bush
20th Tabard, Chiswick
25th Free Beer Show, Oxford
26th The Miller, London Bridge
27th Crack, Islington
29th Old Queen's Head, Angel
I will get details of these up at as soon as I can. And there are loads more chances to see previews in July. More June gigs might be added so keep an eye on my website.

I am also doing another run of the Edinburgh Fringe Podcasts at Stand One at 2.10pm on 31st July, 2nd-26th August (not 12th)
You can buy tickets here -

It's nearly over. Thanks to all those of you who came to the show or contributed to the questionnaire or podcast. I've really enjoyed reviving this show. The DVD will be out from in the next couple of months (hopefully) and there's loads of extras including another frame of Me1 Vs Me2 snooker.
