Review of Headmaster's Son in Sunday Times

Richard Herring (Underbelly, 7.30pm, 3 stars) is strongest when railing against the injustices of attending a school where his father was headmaster. On carrying his books in a briefcase, he wails: “It was like a Buckaroo! of bullying. How many things can we load on this kid?” He gets a bit too forgiving towards the end, but his teenage diaries are gut-clenchingly funny and demand instant publication.
