Whatever happens to Putin, at least he got Brexit done.

Feels to me like the Prigozhin has done a bit of a Wat Tyler here. Totally blowing the impetus. And the same fate might well await him. But we’ll see. It was certainly an interesting day, followed by a bit of an anti-climax. Though the only winner from all of this would be Ukraine. It’s not like the psychopath bald guy is any nicer than the narcissist guy with no top on.

Into town today to see Catie’s brother and visit Dopamine Land, a multi sensory experience involving lights and music and mirrors and a winding corridor leading to various rooms each with a new surprise in it. It was relaxing and stimulating and I enjoyed being buried in a ball pit and the pillow fight room proved to be the most popular and there was enough to do in the bar area at the end to make the experience last 90 minutes.
Visiting London on a hot summer day with kids is all basically a Dopamine Land though. Experiences are all heightened as you try to ensure your kids don’t kill themselves, whilst enjoying all the weird sights and smells. We walked back through Kensington and Hyde Park and got sweaty and tired, then looked for somewhere to eat, but incredibly although we were now in-between Harrods and Harvey Nichols, we ended up going to Macdonalds, another weird sensory experience. I had a milk shake that I think had been improperly mixed and was like drinking the syrup. It blew my mind. The place was packed and a bit grubby and the food the kids ate barely qualified as food and now looking at the world in a different way because I’d been in a room of lights and mirrors I wondered how this unpleasant experience had become so universally popular.

I’d left a bottle of diet coke in the car, which I’d opened and taken a sip from, but not quite screwed the top back on properly. The car had been parked in the open and when I got back the coke was flat and as warm as a decent coffee. I drank it anyway and it was an interesting experience. As good as anything at Dopamine Land and at a fraction of the price. I think I might market hot, flat coke as a thing. It’s the way forward. It’s like coffee but it tastes nice and leaves you feeling a little unsettled and upset. Drank the whole hot thing.
