I wanted to press on with more AIOTM scripts today, but I was extremely tired and not in the right frame of mind at all. The problem with getting older that a day of efficient work tends to mentally exhaust me and my brain won't play ball the next day. I was just in a daze and though I came up with a good idea for a parody Little Baby Bum skit, I was otherwise rather useless. I even forgot to write a blog or thought I had done. Maybe I did, but I can't find it now. So have had to play catch-up.

I did manage to get a Metro column written, but only because I was able to use one of the ideas from AIOTM. You people who like things to only appear once, but still read and consume everything I do, are going to hate it!

I watched the new episode of Star Trek Continues,  which should be awful and is (in some ways) a bit awful, but which is actually very entertaining and impressive, even when a lot of this episode is a rather clunky look into sexism in Star Fleet (I see no parallels with the real world). I think they were saving their money for the explosions in the other storyline. But it's an amazing, if somewhat unnecessary achievement, a load of fans getting together to bring back something that didn't really need to be brought back. I see no parallels in the real world.

Later, my wife went out and I had a rare night sitting in just watching telly. I really enjoyed “We, the Jury” by James Acaster, which managed to hit the ground running and set up its premise and many characters impressively quickly. It's funny and kooky and the guy in the lead role does a good James Acaster impression. I don't know why James didn't play the character, but the guy playing him is really good too. It's a high recommend from me and I really hope that gets a series.

Good news if you're a monthly badge subscriber, we've added the unedited royal chat with Sofie Hagen, so you can find out all the libellous and untrue things I said. Be quick cos if anyone snitches I will be beheaded. Please don't snitch. I like my head. I will be sending out another secret email soon, which will have the log in details if you've forgotten - check your junk folders if you haven't had one before.

You can join the club and see dozens and dozens of extra interviews and behind the scenes stuff by paying a pound or more a month here. You also get entry into a monthly prize draw, a badge, an email giving you RHLSTP guest details before everyone else and your money helps us to make new content. The link is here.

If you are a monthly badger, do make sure you're still paying a pound a month. If your credit card expires you need to sign up again. Otherwise you're getting all this stuff for free! And that wouldn't be right.

We will also add the royal chat to the RHLSTP secret channel that you will get if you donate above a certain amount to the new kickstarter campaign (provided we haven't been prosecuted by then) - but the monthly badge channel has more stuff on it too.

The kickstarter is ticking along nicely and we're 40% of the way there in under a week. BUT there's still £42,000 to go, so I don't think it's guaranteed.

If you like stats then check out the kicktraq page which shows you the progress and is making some outlandish possible projection predictions. If they came true (which they clearly won't), then we'd have pretty much funded next year's RHLSTPs too (or at least a series).

Let's not get ahead of ourselves though. This is the best start yet, but the target is high and success is not guaranteed. I think the rewards are good enough to pay for in their own right though. I think that Emergency Question book could be social dynamite. If you want the signed ones then do be quick. We're not adding any more once they are gone.

All your money will go to creating this content and paying the people who make it. I will get no money from this kickstarter. It's not a way to pay me back. It's a way to pay for the content you're enjoying, if you fancy doing so. I hope those who can afford it will end up covering those who can't afford it. And it's a strictly not-for-profit business. All your money will be spent on making podcasts.

If you want to reward me personally then please buy a DVD or a ticket to my tour show. Ta.
