I am constantly surprised by how much of a tonic country living can be. I wasn't feeling very awake as usual but my morning dog walk was invigorating, especially when Wolfie and I passed a field where horses were galloping up and down the hill together at top speed. It was awe-inspiring to see these beasts in full flow, embracing their lives and just running around of the hell of it.
After Brexit this will be the only pleasure there is left to us. In that brief window before we have to start eating the horses.
I was inspired by some horses and I fed on their energy and by the end of my hour long walk I was ready to do some work.
I even managed to do some, though I am still on the first scene of the first of six scripts I have to get done by December. But the few pages I've done do at least feel like they might be OK. If I didn't have this (and also the booking of RHLSTP guests) hanging over me then I think life would be actually enjoyable right now. I would be like those horses running free, the wind in my mane.
Life is still OK, but my commitments and approaching deadlines are creating stress. And just the job of being a parent is keeping me busy enough.
One bit of stress was lifted when the RHLSTP Kickstarter hit its target. It's not all the money that we need to film the remaining tour dates, but if we hadn't got this chunk for the ones that we've already done then we might be in a little trouble. We do need more money to do all the shows, so please keep donating, and remember most of these rewards will not be available from anywhere else
I am constantly surprised and amazed and grateful for the support that the RHLSTP listeners and viewers give me on these campaigns. It's a huge spur to carry on what I am doing and try to make it better, without ever eradicating the shit bits that you really love. I truly hope that the rewards you receive will be one day worth more than you have paid for them, but we always strive to make them unnecessarily good quality. Thanks very much for the encouragement and for keeping me employed so I don't have time to think how fast my life is whizzing by. Oh shit. I just thought about it.

Aside from that I was appalled and slightly aroused to see Priti Patel delivering her evil speech about ending freedom of movement, whilst smirking to camera like some kind of a Fleabag and reminding me of my favourite sexy fascist the Borg Queen. It was almost as confusing for me to watch as it was for the conservative party members who they keep cutting to who were delighted by what she was saying, but then kept realising who it was who was saying it.
