Seemed like a good guy. RIP mate.
I suppose you're in Heaven or Hell now, depending on whether you guessed right and how God actually feels about murder. Fingers crossed. Just sorry it didn't happen on a Tuesday so I coudl name the snooker arena after you.
First Supergran and now this.

The ghosts in my house didn't like us moving in, but not sure they like us moving out either. Was looking forward to a good night's sleep and was getting one when the smoke alarm in the corridor went off. It has done this a few times. Sometimes just an occasional beep (but not the battery flat beep) and occasionally a nice little burst of beeps. Today it was enough to wake me from deep sleep at 1am. It stopped after maybe 10 seconds, but now I was awake and had to check for fires and then worry that there might secretly be fires. And the boiler was making a weird noise even though it wasn't on and so then I had to worry about carbon monoxide again - but the smoke alarm doesn't go off for that. I turned the boiler off anyway, just to be safe (then worried that that might actually be more dangerous). I hoovered the smoke alarm as last time this happened it had probably been down to spiders moving about in there. But I was now awake. For a couple of hours. Not the start to the day that I'd hoped for and when the day did start I was nice and tired.
I had a book podcast to record with the lovely Janey Godley (who signed off without waiting to make sure the files had uploaded, but luckily it worked anyway) - always great to talk to her and she's an inspiration, keeping busy through her cancer diagnosis. I totally agree with her about her analysis of this fucking nightmare, that it's not a battle for anyone but the medical professionals and she's reassuringly scared about it all, but fuck me that woman has had a life and continues to do so. She's had some truly horrific things to deal with, but has achieved so much and remained resolutely herself and I love that (and her).  And she makes my little kiss from cancer feel like a teabagging, rather than a bite.

Download numbers are slipping slightly, so do come back to us if you haven't listened for a while. You might not have heard of all the guests, but they all give good podcast, I promise!
