Imagine being the biggest cunt in the Tory government. To the point where you have to resign, cos the other cunts think you've gone too far.

I wore my Can Men Be Funny? T shirt today. I can’t remember where I got this. I thought Catie had bought it for me, but she says not, but I am pretty sure it was a gift from someone, so if that was you, thanks very much! But it’s seen better days and the letters are coming off. The N of Men was almost gone so I took it off to make the statement “Can Me Be Funny?” I guess it depends on which Me I am being. But then I realised that I could make the T work again to take the word out entirely and remove the question mark. “Can Be Funny” seemed like a good slogan for my 36 years of performing (at least if you include my first Fringe). Phoebe didn’t think that was appropriate though and got a white pen out to try and add a letter - though luckily she struggled to make the addition visible. But she was aiming for “Can’t Be Funny”. She consistently owns me and takes such glee in it. It’s adorable. For now.
She had my number almost from the beginning though. My son might think I am the best dad in the world for being able to imitate Mario, but Phoebe has always known I’m crap. I guess it saves the big reveal coming during her teenage years.

Like everyone else we’ve been watching Colin From Accounts, which is a very enjoyable sitcom from Australia. It’s a rom-com, but it’s a funny one about flawed but good people and it’s full of surprises and very enjoyable comedy. It’s also about a relationship with an age gap where the older man (spoiler alert) has one testicle, so it really speaks to me and fucks up my chances of getting my own sitcom made. But what also fucks that up is my lack of desire to bother writing it. There’s even a creepy old man part that I would have ben perfect for. But sadly they got an Australian actor who is even better. It’s one of the funniest and upsetting things I’ve seen in a comedy for a while. BBC iPlayer if you want to have a crack.

Episode 2 of Can I Have My Ball Back? with Dr Sara Kayat explaining some of the things that can go wrong with testes and why men are so bad at going to their GP, plus my experience of having my balls scanned is here.

And good to see a lot of comics putting their specials on YouTube for free. I enjoyed this one from Stuart Laws today.
