And Ed, I feel like you're just here for the zip line.
I started the day with
a stone clear (as I do every day of course and then continue the day with it and finish the day), but this one came with a serious political message.
There are no rules to stone clearing, that's actually the first rule of stone clearing, but the second rule is that once you start clearing a field, you MUST finish it. You can't stop because you're leader of the Labour party or because you've moved house. You can only stop once the field is cleared. And once you finish you must move on to another field. Kier Starmer started life as a stone clearer and looked like he was going to do something important with his time on earth, but they left it behind to become a lawyer or something and then probably Prime Minister. That is not someone we can trust. Usually I wouldn't get involved in human affairs, but it's essential that at the next election you vote for the Tories. They're the only party who will get 18 year olds out there clearing stones, whether they want to or not. It will be a brave new world. Give them a chance.
I was very pleased with my zip line tweet by the way, but it relied on you realising it referred to Ed Davey (and to know who that was) and h
aving watched this sketch. I noticed the Poke did a run down of the best Ed Davey jokes and one of them did reference the sketch, though with the clip and less subtlety. It was by a journalist who follows me and who made the joke 9 minutes after I did. Just enough time to find the clip and load up the link (and make a cup of tea and have a short sleep). I am not saying she copied my idea, but it hurts that she takes the glory, when I was (possibly) first.
Congrats to Ed Davey though. A few days ago I realised I didn't know who the Libdem leader was and now I know. It's Wavey Ed Davey. I am not going to vote for him due to the heavy silence around his views on stone clearing, but he's managed to make this campaign even more ridiculous and silly, but probably deliberately in his case.
