Back to reality with no princesses or spiderbots, apart from my wife and the spiderbot that Ernie bought (turns out you need to buy two of them to have battles, but he's happy enough with making it walk around and self-destruct- he also coughed up the cash unbelievably).
We're going on another brief jaunt at the end of the week to see my folks, so today was all about doing admin and grocery shopping and paying in the last of the money for SCOPE from the tour. Thanks to everyone who donated. Not so many people carry cash these days and the coin paying in machines have got much more efficient, so this isn't the pain in the arse that it used to be for me!
I can't believe that yesterday I was flying around on a Dumbo like a fucking champ and today I was doing financial admin and recording links for a podcast (an emergency questions compilation where the Big Foot question proved to be better value than I would have predicted).
Other than that not much going on. I kept an eye on the National League football scores. York City keep yoyoing around the relegation zone. It seemed after a couple of wins in a row that they might have done enough to escape, but now things are shaping up pretty nicely for them to be relegated on the last day on the season on goal difference. Results went OK for them tonight, but they're still relying on other teams fucking up (though if they could do something incredible and win both of their last two games then they might be OK - probably one win will be fine). York always give you hope before the inevitable disappointment. So all is working well for us to York City the shit out of this.
It was also nice to return to being in control of my food. Although we did OK to eat mainly reasonably healthy stuff in France, after burgers and pizza in Disneyland it was nice to eat vegetables and salad. I made a terrific chicken and mango salad for dinner. And I fully intended to go for a run today. Though I did not go for a run. I fully intend to go for one tomorrow though.
