Catie was having a day out with a friend, so I was in sole charge of the kids. So with no adult in the vicinity we were able to do anything we wanted! So we went ten pin bowling and drank slushies and tried to win tickets on the arcade to win big prizes (we spent about £20 and won 7 sweets - RESULT) and then went to get a drive through Macdonalds. I don't think I've ever done a drive through Macdonalds before. It was very exciting. Though sadly we ended up with Macdonalds food.
I'd woken up at 4am and not got back to sleep so thought I might need to pace myself and was slightly worried when Phoebe said she wanted to play football in the afternoon. But God looked down in his wisdom and decided to get me out of it and sent rain. Sorry to everyone else who hoped to make the most of their weekend, but it's nice that God has made me his priority.
So we watched a film about cartoon parrots and then I let them watch stuff about Minecraft on youtube all afternoon instead. I sneakily did some work because I found the stuff they were watching a bit childish and managed to book a couple more guests for the RHLSTP tour. I am trying to work through chronologically, though not having much luck with Liverpool - I tried to get Kerry Katona on today, but she emailed back almost immediately to say she was busy that weekend. Could have been amazing. Maybe another time.
There's loads of potentially great guests in the city, but they are either not available or have not replied, but I've got a couple of good possibilities. . But the September line-ups are otherwise nearly all confirmed. Badgers and Plussers should have had an email with the latest guests, but the rest of you will find out very soon. I have 15 of the 74 guests sorted out. It's a long and slow process of finding out who might be local, trying to get a contact for them, sending them a message and then waiting to see if they answer. I wish everyone was as on the ball as Kerry Katona, which isn't a sentence you'll see very often, but you should do. She's a diamond.
