Right and left wing politicians in UK and US should get together and agree which colour is left wing and which colour is right wing. This is like salt and vinegar crisps all over again.
(And yes, Green Party members, I know you see yourselves as the left wing party now, but then the joke doesn't work, but thanks for your interest. And yes clever political commentators I know the Tories and Labour and Democrats and Republicans are all the same thing as each other, but I refer you to the comment I made a few seconds ago. And comedy fans, yes I know loads of people joke about the colour of salt and vinegar crisps - it was just a quick throwaway gag - I won't be putting it in my set).
Comedy in the 2020s is such fun.

Little has made me want humanity to end less than the response on social media to that utterly tragic plane crash in Florida. Threads especially has been swirling with appalling takes based on knee-jerk reactions to every bit of information and misinformation that has come out about the incident.
Conspiracy theorists decide there must be something more to it than it just being a horrible accident, though are unable to give a valid reason why a plane carrying a family would be targeted (if they even were) or why someone paid several million dollars to fire a missile at a bit of tarmac.
These people both think that there's some shadowy figures somewhere orchestrating these incredible complex and expensive atrocities, but that having succeeded they make some basic errors that can be easily discovered by someone with no knowledge of physics on Threads. Wouldn't there be plane parts if a plane flew straight into the ground?
Imagine pulling off all the parts of 9/11 where you'd managed to disguise missiles as planes, wired up both buildings without anyone noticing and then failed to realise that jet fuel can't melt steel. And accidentally let the BBC know about the fact that building 7 was going to fall down, 30 minutes before it did. You'd feel like an idiot. And the thousands of people who it had taken to pull this off would be well annoyed with you for ages. If just one person messes this up it could mean the death penalty for everyone else. All those conspirators must find it hard to sleep at night knowing that just one deathbed confession could lead to their secret being found out.
All evidence seems to point to this week's plane crash being a horrific accident (but that's what whoever planned this wanted you to think), but maybe it wasn't. But probably worth waiting for all the evidence to come in first. Rather than relying on something you've read online as the truth. Or pausing photos so it looks like the "plane" had no wings.
News came out that there was a young female co-pilot which led to a lot of assumption about her being responsible. She was a woman and too young for such responsibility. You'd be crazy not to assume this was her fault. Even if it then comes out that the pilot was a 55 year old man. It's the first piece of info that counts. To use this situation to justify your stupid prejudices is bad enough, but the fact that you are entirely wrong about it too is just too much.
I've even seen people using the early misidentification of the co-pilot as evidence of the story changing (again no explanation of why the conspirators wouldn't have sorted out that small detail and made sure it was accurate).
I mean, you all know this too and there's absolutely no point in saying any of it, because the idiots gotta idiot. I just need to vent. It just makes me so angry, especially given what the victims went through and how brave the co-pilot was in an impossible situation.
The men saying they won't fly with a female pilot are the biggest fucking idiot. Grant Waterman, for example, proudly says "It's interesting that a woman can request a female driver when getting a taxi but when I request a male pilot when I fly I am called strange."
Now I don't know much about Grant, but I doubt that he is flying everywhere on private jets, but if he is he can probably request a male pilot. If, as I suspect, like the rest of us he is flying on regular flights then of course he is strange to request any kind of pilot. It's not a choice you are given and nor do you usually even see who is flying the plane (You might hear them on the intercom once you're in the air).
I've seen other guys claiming they'd get off a plane with a female pilot and I'd love to see that happen. They would not be able to get a refund, would be enormously inconvenienced and everyone else would have to wait for their bag to be taken out of the hold. If they found out they had a female pilot or any other kind of pilot who they had a prejudice against, they would suck it up like the little cuck boys that they are.
Best response to Grant came from karagoucer
"Are you afraid the female pilot might pull the plane over and rape you?"
I think most of this people on threads post contentious stuff so they get the most reaction and buzz and that's probably what Grant wanted here. But to be fair that's just as bad.

I am now taking the side of the bacteria and viruses that are trying to kill us all. It's better than we deserve.

A good day to bury bad news, Ian Kellogg? Not with Ally and me on the case.

If you're confused by my puppet shows, the lovely darthfrede has made a play list of all of them so you can watch from the beginning. It's only about 230 episodes
