Final logs into the store and first fire with the new logs on a wet afternoon. They're very good logs and the fire was hot. I think that's down to the man who moved them from the garage to the house.
Good to know that if all energy sources and fuel fails I am able to keep my family warm for the next few months. Unless Brexit somehow depletes the source of oxygen so fire no longer works. I guess we'll have bigger issues in that eventuality. Though I for one am very much against breathing in non-British air. Perhaps we can strike against the rest of the world by coordinating to all breathe out over the English Channel and flood the EU with carbon dioxide.
As parents we're still trying to play catch up on sleep, so tag teaming and so I got to havre a nap after taking the kids to the supermarket and supervising as Phoebe did homework and Ernie played with slime and then Phoebe wrote another chapter of the story about the dinosaur and the unicorn (whose kids are now grown up and trying to have babies with other terrifying chimera - fish/dog's boyfriend is an elephant/monkey and unicorn/dinosaur is a kitten crossed with a bird - but this time their partners don't want babies and have done a runner after the wedding ceremonies when they discovered their spouses' true intentions. They both shouted “Nooooooâ€. This chapter also started “The End. Or is it? Which it clearly isn't).
It's been a while since I've needed to have a sleep in the daytime to catch up and this one was a perfect light sleep of about 30 minutes which completely refreshed me, rather than a deeper sleep that left me feeling worse.
It was a fun day though and the kids were mainly good and I'm happy to be battered by the whirlwind. I asked my daughter if I could share her picture from her journal where she drew us playing hotels and Ernie is saying “diiing†as the bell, but she said her journal was private and I have to respect that. Only an idiot would want everyone reading their diary. Today she drew herself surrounded by tiny bubbles as Ernie had found the little bubble trumpets that we'd bought on holiday.I should do a drawing for each day too, It's a much better way of remembering.
Today I'd draw myself asleep at 3pm. The best thing that's happened to me in years.
I walked the dog in the rain tonight and recorded chapter 108 of Stone Clearing. Conditions were unpleasant and very muddy and I found the fole of a fhoe (sole of a shoe) in the middle of the field and wondered if it was attached to the body of a stone clearer who had been sucked off in the Stocean. Being sucked off (or fucked off) is one of the many dangers of stone clearing. It will be out soon.
